I joined now what

First, welcome to Troop 431 we are glad you decided to enroll your Scout in our Troop.   

There are a couple of things we want to share with you as you just joined. We use several electronic tools to communicate.

• ScoutBook:  This is the go to resource for the calendar and advancement tracking for your Scout.  We register for events through the Calendar by RSVP'ing on each event.   Monday Troop Meetings are not necessary to RSVP to.    You will receive an invite to join ScoutBook with 24-48 hours of filling out the application and submitting it to our Membership Chair.    Be Sure to check your SPAM or Junk Email Folder.

• Zoho: We use Zoho Books for accounting purposes.   One of the features allows you to log into a portal and see all the invoice you have pending or have paid through the Scouting year.    Again this is an email invite you will receive so check your SPAM or Junk Email folder.   

• Google G-Suite:   We use Google for a bunch of things in the Troop one of which is communications.   Your Scout will receive an email address from us.  All emails sent to this address all go to your (parents or guardians) personal email address.   We send the invite to you so at your discretion you can either use it yourself with your scout or let Scout use it himself.   Again this is an email invite so please check your SPAM or junk email folder.

• Read the section on the site for Parent Involvement & Scout Led.   These are very important and will help you understand a little of how the program runs and why we do some of the things we do.
