Scout Spirit

The principles of Scouting are found in the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Motto, and Scout Slogan. 

Learning and reciting the Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan are one of the first steps in Scouting.  By following the principles in each of these, he will also come to understand the importance of living the Scout Spirit in all areas of his life... 

The Scout Oath:

“On my honor I will do my best,

to do my duty to God and my country,

and to obey the Scout Law.

To help other people at all times;

To keep myself physically strong,

mentally awake, and morally straight.”

The Scout Law:

“A Scout is:

Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly

Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful

Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.”

The Scout Motto:

“Be Prepared!”

The Scout Slogan:

“Do a good turn daily.”
